If you have ever read about any successful person ever, you know that there are no beginnings except humble ones. Every ripped person at the gym started by curling ten pound weights (or even less). Every famous author that has ever graced a bookshelf did not start writing and immediately produce a masterpiece. Every artist started by drawing the sun in the top right corner of the paper (you know you did it). Every marathon runner at one point huffed and puffed just from running half a mile. Every business started with a single customer. Every band started in a garage with only their moms as the fans (or maybe the moms thought their music was too loud and protested the performances).

It sometimes feels like I go through more disappointment and failure in a week than most people experience in a year. I get the impression that what some call “The Worst Day of Their Lives,” I call “Tuesday.” Maybe my life does not look that way to you, I have no idea. However, from my perspective, for every win I get it feels like I “take the L” a thousand other times. I have at different points failed at relationships, job applications, tests (and all the college students said “amen”), righteousness, sports, and many other things. If you can name it, I’ve probably tried it and failed at it.
